Whiskey aka Rosa

I just wanted to pass along a picture of Whiskey aka Rosa. We adopted her a
couple of weeks ago and she is just the most loveable dog you can imagine. She just
bloomed to life after we got her that day. As you can see by her expression
she is a bit of a show dog, she looks like she is saying "you want a picture
of me?"

Anyway just wanted you all to know that she is doing fine and loving her new
life.

Thanks,

Michelle

Lexy

Lexy is doing GREAT! She is learning our routine quite fast.  She goes to Flint River Puppy Pre-School and Obedience Training on Monday Wednesday, and Friday and LOVES it!  They take them on nature walks, do obedience training and she gets interactions with other dogs.  She goes in on her days and once in the gate, gets around to socialize and say hi to all the other dogs.  It's so cute!

We take Lexy on walks around the neighborhood and she has a big back yard to romp in.  She has not had one single accident in the house and has slept through every single night since we have had her.  After her last trip outside at night, she goes straightway to the crate and lays down.  We keep her in the bedroom with us and I keep a lightweight coverlet over the crate so she is shielded somewhat from lightning, or lights we might put on in the night.  She has been wonderful so far.

We are now all starting to bond a little more.  She has to get to know her surroundings and be comfortable with them.  Then she can concentrate on really bonding with us, but so far, we think she has done very well.  Her mange is clearing up and her coat is coming in quite nicely.  The vet increased her dosage and once that is done, we will be starting the flea and tick meds.  We have an appt with her Monday to have all that checked.

Hope you're doing well!  I talked to Josey the other day for a long while on the phone.  She answered alot of my questions and concerns about confidence building which Lexy has a few issues with.  She gets spooked quickly in crowds or with loud noises and the trainers are working through those issues with her.  We had her at the dog park last weekend, and she was doing fine, but got spooked at the trains going by and jumped the fence.  I had to chase her down with the leash.  Will approach that a little more cautiously next time! :)

Thanks again for all you did.  Lexy is growing on us every day.  We know we made the right choice with her.

Dakoda aka Princess

I have been meaning to email you about Dakoda who we call Princess.  You’re welcome to come visit her if you’d like!  She’s doing great.   Gets along well with Andy our other dog.  She still likes to chase the one cat who won’t stand up to her and bop her nose.  I’m sure it’s just play, she’s never gone after him like she was going to eat him.  Just fun to chase the running furry thing.

I took this today, she was playing and I guess got too hot.  She ran over to lay in the shade.  After I snapped this picture she rolled over to have her belly rubbed.  She loves her belly rubs as I’m sure you know already.
